4. Fitz Park And Keswick Hotel

Fitz Park and Keswick Hotel. - Keswick is greatly favoured in the way of local amenities, the chief of which are, perhaps, the High and Low Fitz Parks, where tennis, bowls, cricket, and other games are in full swing during the season.

"An Autumn Morning," Derwentwater. - The charming bay of Scarf Close, with Broom Point, on the eastern shore of Derwentwater, now belongs to the National Trust, and Keswick visitors have access at all times to this, one of the sweetest spots in the district. Causey Pike is seen across the water.

"A Cattle Scene," Derwentwater. - The Lodore, or south, end of the lake is well shown in our illustration; during the hottest months cattle in the water are usually a feature of any Lakeland landscape.

Derwentwater from Brandelhow Park; a view of the lake from the road on its west side, with Skiddaw beyond, and the rounded Saddleback mountain on the right.
